The widely renowned Polish development studio CD Projekt RED has managed to deliver a top-notch video game, following the masterpiece that was The Witcher 3, especially its DLCs. At launch, the game was nearly unplayable - perhaps due to the preorder policy, which did more harm than good - but after a series of patches, the game started running like a dream.
The story follows the troubled past of V, the game's main protagonist, who finds themselves relentlessly pursued, caught in the crossfire between criminal organizations and mega-corporations. Later in the game, another highly dangerous disruptive element comes into play, throwing not only the protagonist but the entire society into crisis.
Every time you explore the map, you encounter new situations and missions that lead to plot twists, without the game ever feeling too distracting. There is a massive variety of weapons and a wide array of choices among modifications, upgrades, and more.

Cyberpunk 2077 also manages to stay engaging through its side missions, which aren't your typical fetch quests where you're forced to act as a short-term gig delivery driver. Instead, leveling up your character and becoming a legend is achieved by upgrading your weapons, gear, and tackling much deeper challenges.
Another key feature is the ability to shape and customize the experience through mods, much like the company's previous titles, making every single playthrough unique.
A rare gem, found in very few games nowadays, is the high-quality localization that fits perfectly with the events unfolding in this world. They even managed to do a great job dubbing the "famous" cast members.
Honestly, it was one of the few games I fully completed (got all the achievements for) since The Witcher 3 DLCs, which I still consider fantastic and unmatched. It is an absolute must-play.
