An incomprehensible time loop

Dark is a German TV series created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. The story follows the disappearance of a boy in Winden in 2019. Later, the characters discover a place that, when crossed, leads to absurd and utterly unimaginable consequences—at least for an ordinary human being like me.

Dark mysteries are hidden in this town; every disappearance happens for a reason, and you must think critically and keep watching to understand why. Through the butterfly effect, every tiny detail can drive the entire world toward total catastrophe.

From the second season onward, it descends into absolute madness. The storylines begin to collide violently, forming a completely tangled web, making it incredibly difficult to grasp the current timeline. Only a timeline map - a printed sheet with all the chronological intersections - allowed me to fully understand this series.

The creators' extraordinary ability to bring everything full circle makes this show incredible. Not only do they manage to navigate highly complex issues, but they also craft a gripping plot where no element, however small, is trivial.

Dark is a beautiful and highly engaging series. However, it requires a strong ability to reason and connect the dots in order to evaluate it properly.
