More Tarantino-esque, but with a pacing that is too slow

Kill Bill 2 is a borderline action movie created by Quentin Tarantino. The film continues the Bride's chain of revenge, leading up to the mastermind behind the wedding massacre.

The movie opens with the protagonist attempting to assassinate one of Bill's former henchmen, but something goes wrong. In reality, the target is revealed to be an empathetic person with feelings, someone you cannot completely hate.

Unlike the first movie, which had a blazing fast and overly aggressive pace, this installment tries to follow a plot and slow down the tempo, focusing mainly on story building and dialogues. It is worth noting that the final scene breaks the accumulated tension too abruptly. This left me feeling disoriented.

All of this reflects a more typical Tarantino style. This stylistic signature, made of long dialogues and quick back-and-forths, was also present in the movie Reservoir Dogs (1992). However, the pacing has been irreparably damaged. The scenes are too slow and jarring compared to the first film.

Another flaw of the feature film is the soundtrack. I'm not saying the music is bad, quite the opposite. The main problem lies in the fact that they largely reused the tracks from the previous chapter.

Now my revenge is complete. I have pointed out all the flaws of this movie. My verdict is lukewarm, and I can confidently say that only Kill Bill fans will truly appreciate this film.
